Kiana Alzate---So I came across a bunch of different artists who use recycled or found material, and most of them use a lot of things that are still useable, like stuffed animals or baseballs, just questioning our relationship to these objects. But THEN I came across an artist that used something ridiculous and kind of funky: a crushed can, and simply painted a picture on it. it actually looks really great with the creases and crushed parts of the aluminum. But I guess it makes you think about the things we paint on like walls and ceilings, shoes and shirts. so why not a crushed can, right?
